ABOUT THE EXTRA POINT CLUB: Formed in January 2006, the Extra Point Club is the primary support organization for Rice football with membership open to all Owl football fans. As the only ‘football specific’ donor organization, it is dedicated to providing support through fund raising efforts, sponsorship of events associated with football and as a liaison between the program and its stakeholders, both on campus and in the community at large. Our primary goal is to provide the necessary funding to ensure the continued resurgence of Rice football. The Extra Point Club also takes a leadership role in establishing contact and maintaining communication with former football players, working closely with the coaching staff and athletic administration to provide lettermen the opportunity to become involved in the program. The Extra Point Club was founded on the belief and with the conviction that fans, lettermen, administration and staff, all working together can and will make the football program a source of pride for the entire Rice community.
